Mitchell Smolkin MACP is a Canadian Registered Psychotherapist, a Certified Emotionally Focused Couples Therapist and an advanced candidate in Jungian Psychoanalysis. He specializes in individuals and couples and has also worked in Emergency Room Crisis assessment. He has published in the area of intergenerational trauma and has taught and presented internationally, having helped train couples therapists from around the world.

Mitchell has extensive experience working with couples dealing with a wide range of issues including emotional injuries resulting from infidelity, addiction and general distress from childhood trauma and accidents among other factors. With individuals, Mitchell works psychodynamically using dreams and other means from a non-judgemental collaborative standpoint.

Mitchell holds a Masters in Counselling Psychology, certifications from the International Institute for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy and is Registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.

Mitchell also speaks French fluently and although he conducts therapy in English, is open to clients for whom French is their mother-tongue.
